Developed by a team of talented students from Hoa Binh Province, the Healthcare Support System for the Elderly addresses the challenges faced by senior citizens who live alone or lack consistent care. With children often living far away, the elderly may struggle to remember their medication. This innovative system combines environmental monitoring and medication management to improve the quality of life for our ageing population.The system has two key functions:
- Environmental monitoring: It measures room temperature, humidity and light levels, providing real-time data that can be accessed online. Family members can remotely monitor and control these indicators, ensuring a comfortable and safe living environment for their elderly loved ones.
- Medication management: The system includes a medicine box with 30 sub-boxes, each containing a specific medicine. Alarms remind the elderly to take their prescribed medication at set times. If a dose is missed, notifications are sent to family members, allowing them to manage and remind the elderly to take their medication in a timely manner.
